The Sales Development Manager – North America will be responsible for building, leading, and scaling a high-performing outbound SDR team focused on the US market. This role plays a critical part in driving pipeline growth by owning outbound lead generation targets, defining strategy, and coaching SDRs to consistently exceed quotas. The ideal candidate brings strong B2B SaaS experience, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for developing winning sales teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coaching
Hire, onboard, lead, and mentor a team of outbound SDRs aligned to the North American market.
Drive consistent coaching, performance feedback, and adoption of outbound best practices.
Foster a high-energy, results-driven culture focused on exceeding pipeline targets.
Outbound Strategy & Execution
Design and execute scalable outbound strategies to generate qualified pipeline for enterprise and mid-market accounts.
Own the team’s lead generation quotas and ensure predictable monthly and quarterly outcomes.
Performance Management & Forecasting
Define KPIs, activity benchmarks, and quality metrics for SDR performance.
Track individual and team results, provide regular reporting, and deliver accurate pipeline and quota forecasts.
Process Optimization
Continuously evaluate and optimize outbound workflows, cadences, and qualification frameworks.
Implement structured lead nurturing and follow-up processes to improve conversion rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales leadership to refine qualification criteria and improve SDR-to-AE handoffs.
Collaborate with Marketing to align outreach messaging, campaigns, and account targeting strategies.
Training & Enablement
Conduct ongoing training, call reviews, and skill-building workshops to elevate SDR effectiveness.
Share best practices, scripts, and insights across the team to drive consistent execution.
Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 2 years in an SDR Manager or equivalent leadership role.
Proven experience managing outbound SDR teams focused on the North American (US) market.
Strong track record of delivering outbound pipeline in enterprise sales environments (accounts with 5,000+ employees).
Willingness to work US Central business hours from an in-office setup in Bangalore.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and people-management skills with the ability to inspire high performance.
Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience tracking sales metrics and performance analytics.
Experience using CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
Bonus: Exposure to ABM or intent platforms such as Demandbase, 6sense, or similar tools.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
