Job Description - Sales Development Representative

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Min Experience: 2 years

Location :Chennai

JobType: full-time

As part of the revenue team, we’re expanding and looking for ambitious, results-driven Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to help grow our customer base and build a strong revenue pipeline across both local and US markets. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to go-to-market strategies while providing valuable feedback to the product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify, research, and reach out to potential customers through various channels.
  • Lead Qualification: Evaluate leads to determine sales potential and suitability.
  • Meeting Scheduling: Arrange and schedule virtual meetings between qualified leads and the sales team.
  • Product Knowledge: Clearly communicate product value propositions tailored to prospects' needs.
  • Goal Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales activity and pipeline generation targets.
  • CRM Management: Log all outreach activity and customer details accurately in the CRM system.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams for campaign alignment and lead feedback.

Weekly Activities Include:

  • Conduct research to gather details on prospect companies, decision-makers, and their business needs.
  • Engage prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms to spark conversations and create sales opportunities.
  • Book qualified meetings and hand off leads to the appropriate sales representatives.
  • Maintain organized and updated sales records and reporting dashboards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 2+ years in B2B sales or business development, ideally within SaaS or enterprise solutions.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM platforms and outreach tools (e.g., Outreach, ZoomInfo, HubSpot).
  • Social Selling: Skilled at initiating conversations via LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms.
  • Presentation: Comfortable engaging senior executives via phone, video calls, and webinars.
  • Mindset:
    • Proactive and self-motivated, eager to take initiative without needing hand-holding.
    • Resilient in the face of rejection and motivated by challenges.
    • Open to feedback and continuous learning.
    • Calm and focused, even in high-pressure environments.
