Sales Engineer Welding Consumables

Key Responsibilities
• Drive sales of flux cored wire, MIG/MAG wire, SAW wire and other welding consumables.
• Develop new business with fabricators, OEMs, structural-steel companies, heavy engineering
units, EPCs, and industrial customers.
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations, welding trials, and technical discussions.
• Convert trials into repeat orders and build long-term customer relationships.
• Appoint, manage, and grow distributors/dealers in the assigned territory.
• Achieve sales, new-customer acquisition, and collection targets.
• Track leads, quotations, orders, competitor activity, customer feedback, and collections through regular reporting.
• Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, supply, technical support, and complaint resolution.
Mandatory Requirements
• 2–5 years of sales experience in welding consumables is mandatory.
• Experience selling FCAW/flux cored wire, MIG/MAG wire, SAW wire/flux, or similar products.
• Strong B2B industrial-sales exposure with fabricators, engineering companies, OEMs, or channel partners.
• Sound understanding of welding applications, consumable selection, and welding productivity, and common weld-quality issues.
• Proven ability to conduct welding trials, generate business, meet targets, and manage collections.
• Existing market network in Pune/Maharashtra or Hyderabad/Telangana will be preferred.
• Diploma/Degree in mechanical, metallurgical, production, welding, or a related discipline preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
