Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of domestic and international travel products. You will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements including holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, and visa support services. Key Responsibilities:
- Understand clients’ travel needs and suggest suitable holiday packages and travel solutions (flights, hotels, cruises, travel insurance, visas, etc.).
- Create customized, presentable travel itineraries and quotations tailored to client requirements.
- Provide end-to-end assistance throughout the booking process—from inquiry to final confirmation.
- Handle all travel documentation including confirmation vouchers, visa guidance, and travel insurance.
- Conduct timely follow-ups with clients, resolve queries, and secure bookings with payments.
- Visit clients (if required) for consultation, document collection, or closing bookings.
- Maintain communication with clients before, during, and after travel to ensure satisfaction and request referrals.
- Collect and share feedback with the operations team to help improve service quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends, destinations, and new travel products to better assist clients.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism or related field. IATA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the travel and tourism industry.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, Hindi (spoken and written).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable with internet research and basic computer operations
- Travel Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with travel products such as holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, travel insurance, visas, forex, etc.
- Sales & Customer Service Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings
- Negotiation skills and a customer-first approach
- Other Skills:
- Good coordination and time management
- Problem-solving attitude
- Basic mathematical skills for pricing and cost estimation
- Willingness to visit clients if needed
