Sales Executive Cold Storage & Industrial Ice

Key responsibilities

• Generate new B2B leads and close sales for cold storage space, ice cubes, ice blocks and industrial ice with wholesalers, retailers, food processors, caterers, event companies and industrial users.
  
• Promote storage and warehousing solutions (chilled, frozen, deep freeze) and explain capacity, temperature ranges, quality and service advantages to customers.
  
• Develop strong relationships with existing customers to increase volumes, improve occupancy and ensure repeat business.
  
• Identify and onboard new bulk buyers, dealers, distributors and institutional clients in the catchment area around Maniktala and wider Kolkata.
  
• Understand basic technical aspects of cold rooms, refrigeration systems and temperature -controlled warehousing to confidently address customer queries with support from technical team where required.
  
• Visit customer sites (hotels, restaurants, processors, warehouses, factories) for meetings, presentations and negotiations.
  
• Prepare and submit quotations, follow up on enquiries, negotiate prices/credit terms within approved limits and close orders.
  
• Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams for smooth onboarding of new customers, slot allocation, dispatch planning and service issue resolution.
  
• Track competitor activities, market rates, seasonal demand patterns (summer, festive season, marriage season) and share inputs with management.
  
• Maintain daily visit reports, enquiry funnel, order updates and payment collection status using Excel/CRM as per company format.
  

Requirements

• Experience: 26 years in B2B sales in cold storage, ice cubes/blocks, industrial ice, refrigeration systems, warehouse / logistics, or other high -end equipment/services.
  
• Familiarity with cold storage operations, warehouse processes or temperature -controlled logistics will be a strong plus.
  
• Strong field sales skills: lead generation, customer meetings, negotiation and closing.
  
• Comfortable travelling locally in and around Maniktala and other parts of Kolkata for client visits.
  
• Good communication, basic computer skills (Excel, email, WhatsApp) and a result -oriented mindset.
