Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent shall be responsible for delivering Annual / Half Yearly / Quarterly / Monthly Sales Targets
of the allocated territory through various trade channels such as Retailers, Distributors, Dealers, Sub -
Dealers, and Influencers like Builders, Contractors, Architects, Interior Designers, etc.
1. Sales Target Achievement:
o Meet and exceed sales targets for assigned territories by driving both retail and channel
sales.
o Execute a strategic plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
2. Trade Mapping & Management:
o Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities, market trends, and
competitor activities
o Develop a detailed understanding of the assigned territory, including existing and
potential customer segments
o Expand the market presence by onboarding new retail and channel partners
3. Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with trade & influencers to maximise sales
opportunities.
o Conduct regular visits to trade & accounts, address their concerns, and ensure continuous
business flow
o Develop and manage long -term relationships with clients, offering post -sale support and
regular follow -ups
4. Product Promotion & Brand Awareness:
o Promote the company’s products through various retail and channel partners, ensuring
brand visibility in the market
o Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for retailers and
channel partners
o Conduct Shop Meets as per organisational requirement with Carpenters & Contractors
o Ensure proper product placement and merchandising in retail outlets
5. Business Development:
o Identify potential retail outlets and distributors for expanding the company’s distribution
network.

o Work closely with the marketing team to devise sales strategies, promotional campaigns,
and incentive programs for channel partners.
o Leverage business intelligence and CRM tools to forecast demand and identify new
business opportunities
6. Order Management & Payments:
o Ensure timely order processing, delivery, and payment collection from retailers and
channel partners.
o Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, accounts) to manage the supply chain
efficiently.
o Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collections from clients
7. Sales Reporting:
o May be required to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to track progress
and ensure alignment with sales objectives.
o Provide insights on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in his
territory.
o Use data -driven approaches to improve sales effectiveness and decision -making
8. Customer Service & Satisfaction:
o Address and resolve customer queries, complaints, and feedback within the established TAT
o Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering quality service and maintaining product
consistency.
Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 2 -3 or more years of relevant experience in Retail & Channel Sales in Building Material Industry
- Go -getter attitude
- Target oriented
- Familiarity with the local/regional market dynamics and customer base would be preferred
- Should be self -driven and willing to work hard
- Good communication skills. Should know the local language and preferably Hindi &/or English
- Good understanding of Retail & Channel selling skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
- Willing to travel locally regularly and upcountry periodically
- Preferably should have a two -wheeler (along with a two -wheeler licence) for local travel
- Should own a Smartphone & be reasonably tech -savvy

1. Sales Skills:
o Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding
targets.
o Strong understanding of the building material industry, products, and market dynamics.
2. Communication Skills:
o Good verbal and preferably written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport
with diverse clients
o Ability to explain complex products and concepts in an easy -to -understand manner
o Should be confident in the local language of the trade & also know either Hindi &/or
English
3. Analytical & Problem -Solving Skills:
o Ability to analyse basic sales data and market trends
o Proactive in resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvement
4. Relationship Management:
o Strong interpersonal skills for managing relationships with the entire trade
5. Product Knowledge:
o Moderate knowledge of building materials, particularly laminates, is preferred
o Ability to stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and competitive products
6. Tech Knowledge:
o Preferably proficient in SFA & CRM software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint) for sales tracking and reporting.
Education:
Should possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University
