Job Description - Sales Head- Material Handling

    Our client is a leading material handling systems integrator. They provide overhead conveyors, floor conveyors, special transfer equipment, Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems and other customized handling systems to suit customer's specific requirements for the Automotive and Metals Industry.

    Job Description

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the automotive and Metals industry.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships within the automotive sector, leveraging market insights and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to customise solutions and meet the unique needs of customers.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Coordinate with marketing and branding teams to develop effective sales collateral and promotional materials tailored to automotive clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring favourable terms and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in industrial sales, with a focus on the automotive sector.
  • A strong network of contacts within the automotive industry, including OEMs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the automotive sector.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a sales team, driving performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet with automotive customers and attend industry events.
