About the Role:
As the Sales Manager at Lower Parel, Mumbai, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a high -performing team of sales counselors to drive enrollment and revenue growth across India. This role involves overseeing day -to -day sales operations, executing sales strategies, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring strong lead conversion. You will collaborate closely with marketing and cross -functional teams to optimize processes, improve sales outcomes, and maintain high standards across the admissions and sales function.
What You’ll Do:
â Sales Target Achievement & Revenue Delivery:
â Achieve individual and team sales targets aligned with business plans.
â Manage lead conversion rates and maintain sales funnel hygiene.
â Drive new customer acquisition through direct sales and telesales.
â Monitor lead aging and ensure timely follow -ups by the team.
â Sales Strategy Execution & Process Improvement:
â Execute sales plans and campaigns designed by sales leadership.
â Drive cross -selling and upselling initiatives within the team.
â Share market insights and student feedback with product and marketing teams.
â Ensure effective CRM usage and adherence across the team.
â Team Management & Training:
â Manage and motivate a team of 10–30 sales counselors.
â Conduct regular training on sales calls, pitches, objection handling, and lead management.
â Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets and track team performance.
â Support recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members.
â Reporting & Quality Assurance:
â Track and report team performance metrics including revenue per counselor and conversion rates.
â Conduct call audits and quality checks to maintain sales standards.
â Ensure proper lead allocation and CRM hygiene through regular audits.
â Additional Duties:
â Collaborate closely with marketing on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
â Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and team productivity.
â Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.
â Perform other duties as assigned by sales leadership.
Who You Are:
â Must -Have:
â 2–3 years of sales experience with a PG degree from a premium B -school (such as IIMs or equivalent) OR Graduate/Postgraduate with 8–10 years of total work experience, preferably in sales or EdTech.
â Proven experience managing a sales team of 10 or more members.
â Strong understanding of sales conversion metrics and pipeline management.
â Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
â Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, LeadSquared, etc.).
â Strong objection handling and negotiation skills.
â Should Have:
â Experience supporting sales strategy execution and incentive planning.
â Ability to analyze data and create actionable performance reports.
â Familiarity with CRM processes and sales automation tools.
â Nice to Have:
â Exposure to cross -functional collaboration with marketing and product teams.
â Experience working with international sales markets or teams.
â Certifications or training in sales leadership or CRM optimization.
