Job Description - Sales Manager

  • Role & Responsibilities
    • Customer Base & Contacts
    • Leverage existing customer base in heavy construction equipment sales.
    • Cultivate customer relationships in Construction, Auto, Auto ancillary, and Manufacturing sectors.
    • Sales Experience
    • Proven experience in project and industrial sales.
    • Client Engagement
    • Identify and engage new clients in the assigned region.
    • Travel to meet potential clients and establish long-term relationships.
    • Understand and manage customer requirements.
    • Negotiate and finalize sales agreements.
    • Ensure post-sale revenue collection.
    • Vendor Management
    • Expand vendor base and maintain strong vendor relationships.
    • Sales Performance
    • Analyse costs and sales performance.
    • Prepare regular reports for head office.
    • Consistently meet sales targets.
    • Record and maintain client contact data.
    • Coordinate and manage sales projects.
    • Collection of revenue from Customers
    • Technical Expertise
    • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
    • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
    • Collaborate with sales team and technical experts.
    • Training & Support
    • Develop training materials and support the sales team.
    • Foster team building and resource retention for smooth department functioning.
    • Promote sales motivation.
    • Profitability & CRM
    • Oversee profitability for the west division, focusing on customer relationship management, sourcing, and supply.
    • Utilize CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.
    • Qualifications
    • 3-5 years experience in construction equipment rental sales and vendor management.
    • Strong industry connections in relevant sectors.
    • Proven track record in meeting sales targets and managing sales projects.
    • Skills
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends.
    • Proficiency in CRM software.
