Job Description - Sales Manager Solar

We are looking for an experienced and results -driven Sales Manager to lead our solar sales operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the solar energy industry and a strong track record in business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation. This role requires leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for clean energy solutions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for solar rooftop, ground -mounted, and EPC projects.

  • Identify and generate new business leads in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, EPC partners, and channel distributors.

  • Lead the sales team, assign targets, and monitor performance.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.

  • Stay updated with government policies, subsidies, and market trends in the solar sector.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and project execution teams for smooth handover and client satisfaction.

  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain profitability of projects.

  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote the company’s brand.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and generate sales reports for management.



Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Renewable Energy preferred), MBA is a plus.

  • Experience: 4–8 years of experience in solar energy sales or renewable energy solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, panels, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them to customers.

  • Willingness to travel extensively for business development.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
