Sales Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced and target-driven Business Development Team Lead – Inside Sales to lead and manage the Inside Sales team at Kanakkupillai.com. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in outbound calling, lead conversion, client acquisition, revenue generation, and team performance management. The role involves driving sales growth, achieving monthly and quarterly targets, managing the sales pipeline, and guiding team members to improve customer engagement, conversion rates, and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, mentor, and motivate the Inside Sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
  
  


• Drive revenue generation, customer acquisition, and monthly and quarterly sales growth.
  
  


• Monitor and improve lead conversion rates, sales closures, and follow-up activities.
  
  


• Guide team members in outbound calling, lead qualification, client engagement, and requirement analysis.
  
  


• Set sales targets, track KPIs, and monitor daily calling, lead generation, and revenue performance.
  
  


• Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-ups with qualified leads.
  
  


• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team training.
  
  


• Identify sales process gaps and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and productivity.
  
  


• Handle escalated customer queries and support the team in closing high-value sales opportunities.
  
  


• Ensure accurate CRM updates, lead tracking, follow-ups, and sales activity reporting.
  
  


• Coordinate with senior management and internal teams for smooth client onboarding.
  
  


• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports and MIS.
  
  


• Develop effective sales strategies to improve customer acquisition, revenue generation, and team efficiency.
  
  

Key Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Business Development, Telesales, or related sales roles.
  
  


• Prior team-handling or leadership experience is mandatory, with up to 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  
  


• Any Graduate or Postgraduate.
  
  


• Proven experience in lead conversion, revenue generation, sales closure, and target achievement.
  
  


• Strong knowledge of outbound calling, client acquisition, and sales pipeline management.
  
  


• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and a regional language.
  
  


• Strong negotiation, persuasion, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills.
  
  


• Experience using CRM tools, sales tracking systems, and MIS reporting.
  
  


• Ability to set targets, monitor KPIs, and improve team productivity.
  
  


• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  
  


• Self-motivated, proactive, target-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced sales environment.
