This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP ABAP Consultant (Senior) based in India.
This role is a senior technical position focused on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality SAP ABAP solutions within large-scale S/4HANA transformation programs. You will take ownership of complex development initiatives, including RICEFW objects, enhancements, and integration layers that support critical enterprise processes. The position requires close collaboration with functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. You will work across multiple SAP modules and contribute to both implementation and migration projects in dynamic environments. This role also involves driving technical standards, ensuring performance optimization, and maintaining solution quality across the delivery lifecycle. In addition to hands-on development, you will mentor junior consultants and contribute to strengthening engineering best practices. It is a high-impact role where technical depth and leadership go hand in hand.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and development of SAP ABAP RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) for S/4HANA programs.
- Collaborate closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical design documents while ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Work on CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and performance optimization to support modern S/4HANA architectures.
- Implement enhancements, Adobe Forms, and Smart Forms to meet business process requirements.
- Participate in system migration and conversion projects, ensuring smooth technical transitions.
- Ensure high-quality delivery across implementation, rollout, and support phases of SAP projects.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers within the team.
Requirements:
- 7–15 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development across multiple implementation and support projects.
- Strong expertise in ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
- Proven experience with CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and performance tuning in S/4HANA environments.
- Solid experience in enhancements, Adobe Forms, and Smart Forms development.
- Strong exposure to SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA development standards.
- Experience working across multiple SAP modules such as MM, SD, and FICO.
- Hands-on experience in SAP migration or system conversion projects is required.
- Exposure to ABAP RAP and SAP BTP/Fiori is highly desirable.
- Experience in technical leadership or mentoring roles is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
