SAP ABAP HANA (Adobe forms & WebDynpro) Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP HANA Consultant to design, develop, and optimize SAP applications using ABAP on HANA and SAP S/4HANA technologies. The role involves developing high-performance, scalable solutions, enhancing existing applications, and collaborating with functional teams to deliver business requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

ABAP Development

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs:
  
  
  
  • Reports
  
  
  • Interfaces
  
  
  • Conversions
  
  
  • Enhancements
  
  
  • Forms (RICEF Objects)
  
  
  
  


• Develop classical and interactive reports using ALV.


• Create SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.


• Work with user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement frameworks.


• Knowledge on  Web Dynpro ABAP, OO-ABAP and ALE/IDoc

ABAP on HANA Development

• Develop optimized code for SAP HANA database.


• Use Code Pushdown techniques to improve performance.


• Develop and maintain:
  
  
  
  • CDS Views (Core Data Services)
  
  
  • AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
  
  
  
  


• Optimize SQL queries and database operations.

S/4HANA & Modern Development

• Adapt custom code for S/4HANA migration (SPAU/SPDD adjustments).


• Use new ABAP syntax and best practices.


• Develop OData services using SAP Gateway.


• Support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications (backend services).

Integration & Interfaces

• Develop interfaces using:

  • BAPIs
  
  
  • RFCs
  
  
  • APIs
  
  
  
  


• Work with middleware tools (SAP PI/PO, CPI).


• Handle file-based integrations and web services.

General Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and prepare technical specifications.


• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT phases.


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.


• Ensure performance optimization and code quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.


• 3–10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.


• Strong expertise in:
  
  
  
  • Core ABAP (Reports, ALV, Enhancements)
  
  
  • Data Dictionary (DDIC)
  
  
  • Modularization techniques
  
  
  
  


• Hands-on experience with:
  
  
  
  • CDS Views and AMDP
  
  
  • ABAP on HANA optimization techniques
  
  
  
  


• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture.


• Experience with OData services and SAP Gateway.


• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.


• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.


• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5.


• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).


• SAP ABAP or S/4HANA certification.


• Exposure to RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).


• Experience with Git-enabled CTS or DevOps tools.
