Job Description - SAP BO -Administration

SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Administrator

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP BO Administrator to join our team and take charge of the administration and support of our BusinessObjects tools and analytical capabilities. The BO Admin will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the entire suite of BO tools. This role requires strong technical expertise in BO administration, as well as the ability to troubleshoot performance issues and provide support for BO Universes and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain SAP BusinessObjects tools and components, ensuring their smooth operation and availability.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for BO administration tasks and support requests from end -users.
  3. Set up and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) environments to ensure high availability and business continuity.
  4. Manage and administer BO Universes and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and user access controls.
  5. Identify and troubleshoot performance issues in BO reports and dashboards, optimizing queries and database performance, particularly in Oracle environments.
  6. Conduct testing and regression testing to validate BO system changes and upgrades.
  7. Investigate and resolve report failures, user/security issues, and file store backup problems.
  8. Proactively monitor BO processes and server performance to identify potential issues and take preventive measures.
  9. Assist in the generation of audit reports to ensure compliance with security and data access policies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an SAP BusinessObjects Administrator, with at least [X] years of relevant experience.
  3. Strong technical knowledge and hands -on experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining SAP BusinessObjects tools, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Dashboards (Xcelsius).
  4. Expertise in troubleshooting performance issues, query optimization, and administration in Oracle database environments.
  5. Familiarity with DR setup/support and administering BO tools in a high -availability environment.
  6. Solid understanding of BO Universes, reports, and dashboards, with the ability to provide support and guidance to end -users.
  7. Proficiency in conducting testing and regression testing to validate BO system changes and upgrades.
  8. Strong problem -solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with end -users and cross -functional teams.
  10. SAP BusinessObjects certification is a plus.
