Job Description

We are looking for a Business Objects (BO) have strong expertise in Web Intelligence (WEBI), Universe Design, SQL querying, and report optimization to support business reporting and analytics requirements. This position will be full-time and Hybrid - Bengaluru.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze business and reporting requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions

• Develop, modify, and maintain reports using SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence (WEBI)

• Design and develop Universes using Universe Designer/IDT based on business needs

• Create complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction logic for reporting purposes

• Develop Ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support business users and management teams

• Perform report validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and consistency

• Fine-tune Universes, SQL queries, and WEBI reports for improved performance and optimization

• Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and database teams to gather reporting requirements

• Handle report scheduling, publication, and distribution through Business Objects platform

• Ensure data security, access controls, and report governance standards are maintained

• Support production issues, bug fixes, and enhancements related to BO reports and Universes

• Participate in migration activities, BO upgrades, and deployment processes when required

What You'll Need

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP Business Objects (BO) development

• Strong hands-on experience with WEBI report development

• Experience in Universe Design using UDT/IDT

• Strong SQL knowledge with experience in writing complex queries

• Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Teradata

• Experience in report performance tuning and optimization techniques

• Knowledge of BO architecture, CMC, scheduling, and security concepts

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
