SAP EWM Functional Consultant

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP EWM Functional Consultant with a strong background in warehouse and logistics processes and a deep understanding of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in SAP EWM implementations, configurations, and support, with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performing SAP EWM solutions.

This is a strategic and hands-on role that involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, technical SAP teams, and business stakeholders, to deliver seamless, efficient, and reliable warehouse operations through SAP EWM. You will be involved in end-to-end project lifecycle phases — from requirement gathering to solution design, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis & Process Mapping:
  Work closely with business users to understand warehouse and logistics requirements. Translate them into detailed functional specifications for SAP EWM solutions.
• SAP EWM Configuration & Customization:
  Configure core SAP EWM components such as inbound/outbound processes, inventory management, warehouse structure setup, RF framework, warehouse monitor, wave management, labor management, and slotting/rearrangement. Customize functionalities as needed to meet specific operational needs.
• Project Execution & Solution Delivery:
  Lead and participate in full-cycle SAP EWM implementation projects — from blueprinting and realization to go-live and post-go-live support. Ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Integration & Testing:
  Collaborate with SAP technical teams to support the integration of EWM with other modules like SAP MM, SD, TM, and third-party systems. Develop and execute functional and integration test plans.
• User Training & Documentation:
  Prepare comprehensive documentation, conduct user training, and provide ongoing support to ensure smooth adoption of SAP EWM solutions by business teams.
• Support & Continuous Improvement:
  Provide expert-level support for existing EWM solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements. Drive process improvements and promote best practices in warehouse management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Functional Consultant with a focus on SAP EWM (Embedded or Decentralized).
• Strong expertise in end-to-end warehouse processes, including goods receipt, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, stock transfer, and physical inventory.
• Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) configuration and integration.
• Exposure to S/4HANA is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of integration with SAP ERP modules like MM, SD, and LE.
• Familiarity with IDocs, BAPIs, user exits, and enhancement frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Transport Management (SAP TM) or Yard Logistics is a plus.
• SAP EWM certification is an added advantage.
• Experience in agile and hybrid project methodologies.
