Job Summary

The EHS Executive is responsible for implementing and maintaining Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and industry standards. The role focuses on promoting a safe workplace, preventing accidents, supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Implement EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and safety standards.
• Conduct safety inductions and periodic training for employees and contractors.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
• Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures where applicable.

Environmental Management

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company environmental policies.
• Monitor waste segregation, disposal, and recycling practices.
• Maintain records related to emissions, waste management, water, and energy consumption.
• Support environmental improvement initiatives and sustainability programs.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain EHS documentation, registers, and statutory records.
• Assist during internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Ensure timely submission of compliance reports and statutory returns.
• Track corrective actions and verify closure.

Employee Engagement

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
• Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
• Support safety committee meetings and follow up on action items.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or EHS is preferred.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in an EHS role within manufacturing, industrial, warehousing, or construction environments.
• Freshers with relevant EHS qualifications may be considered for junior positions.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification.
