Location: Bangalore / Delhi, India (Hybrid)

Compensation: Up to ₹40,00,000 LPA

We are looking for a talented SDE-2 Backend Developer to join our fast-paced engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-availability backend services that power our applications. You will heavily utilize Python (specifically FastAPI) and TypeScript (Node.js) to build robust APIs and microservices. You will take ownership of your infrastructure, deploying and managing services within our AWS ecosystem. This role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, database optimization, and modern cloud architecture.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development & Architecture

• 
  

  API Design: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, robust RESTful APIs and potentially GraphQL endpoints using Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript (Node.js).

  Microservices: Build scalable and reliable microservices architecture, ensuring seamless inter-service communication.

  
  


• 
  

  Database Management: Design scalable database schemas and optimize queries across relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) to ensure data integrity and reduce latency.

  
  


• 
  

  Performance Optimization: Profile and monitor applications to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, utilizing caching techniques and efficient data models.

  
  

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• 
  

  AWS Utilization: Leverage AWS services (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and ECS/Fargate) to deploy, manage, and scale cloud-native applications.

  
  


• 
  

  CI/CD Pipelines: Actively participate in and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, ensuring rapid iterations and reliable delivery.

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Contribute to managing cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.

  
  


• 
  

  Containerization: Utilize Docker and container orchestration tools (like Kubernetes or ECS) for deploying microservices.

  
  

Collaboration & Quality

• 
  

  Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to ensure APIs effectively support frontend integrations and system performance is optimized.

  Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, enforce coding standards, and conduct thorough code reviews to provide feedback and share knowledge.

  Testing: Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to guarantee code reliability.

  Agile Development: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, autonomously pulling issues from the backlog and contributing to story design and sprint planning.

  
  

What We Are Looking For

  Experience: 3-5 years of professional backend software development experience building production-grade applications.

  Python Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python programming, with extensive hands-on experience using FastAPI for building high-performance APIs.

  TypeScript/Node.js: Solid experience with TypeScript and Node.js for backend development.

  Cloud Fluency: Proven experience deploying and managing services on AWS.

  Database Knowledge: Deep understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases, including optimization and query performance tuning.
