Job Description - Search Engine Optimization Consultant

Role : Senior SEO Specialist

Overview of the position:

The SEO Executive will play a pivotal role in researching, strategizing and optimizing our online content to improve search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and enhance user experience. This role requires a combination of technical know-how, analytical skills, and creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic SEO Planning: Design and implement robust SEO strategies to amplify organic search traffic and elevate website and app rankings on major search engines.
  • Local SEO: Spearhead strategies tailored for local search optimization, ensuring the business stands out in local listings.
  • Keyword Mastery: Delve into comprehensive keyword research to pinpoint high-potential keywords and unveil opportunities for content refinement.
  • On-Page Optimization: Enhance website elements such as meta tags, headers, URLs, and internal links to boost search engine visibility and enrich user engagement.
  • Technical SEO Oversight: Conduct meticulous SEO audits, offering actionable recommendations for website enhancements, focusing on crawlability, indexation, and site speed.
  • Content Collaboration: Partner with content teams, designers, and copywriters to embed SEO best practices throughout content development and web design.
  • Performance Analytics: Utilize advanced SEO tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to monitor website metrics, delivering insightful reports to key stakeholders.
  • SEO Trend Adaptation: Remain abreast of evolving SEO trends, search engine algorithm shifts, and industry benchmarks, adjusting strategies proactively.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Undertake competitor research to uncover gaps, seize opportunities, and set industry benchmarks.
  • Link-Building Expertise: Champion link-building initiatives to gain domain authority and secure quality backlinks from esteemed sources.
  • Off-Page SEO Collaboration: Work alongside the marketing team to roll out off-page SEO endeavors, encompassing guest posts, influencer partnerships, and social media synergies.
  • Tech Trend Awareness: Stay updated on emerging SEO technologies and tools, advocating for their integration when beneficial.
  • Developer Partnership: Collaborate seamlessly with web development teams to action SEO-driven changes, focusing on website architecture, schema integration, and mobile-friendliness.
  • Team Leadership: Offer mentorship and guidance to the team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Qualification :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) with minimum 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in SEO tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, Majestic and Moz.
  • Proficient in analytics tools like Google Analytics & Search console etc.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress etc.
  • Familiar with web development (Basic Knowledge of HTML, CSS & JavaScript ).
  • Ability to manage 0 to 1 initiatives for SEO.
  • Strong understanding of keyword research and excellent analytical skills.
  • Expertise in performing off-page activities and on-page optimization techniques for boosting keyword rankings.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
