Position Summary

The Secondary English Teacher is responsible for teaching English to students in Grades VI–X in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster strong communication, reading, writing, grammar, literature, and critical thinking skills while creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.


• Teach grammar, literature, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills.


• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and assessments.


• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.


• Prepare students for periodic tests, annual examinations, and CBSE assessment patterns.


• Encourage effective communication, creativity, public speaking, and critical thinking.


• Use technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.


• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.


• Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and academic progress.


• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance.


• Participate in school events, staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, examinations, and professional development programs.


• Follow all CBSE guidelines and school policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in English/English Literature.


• B.Ed. (Mandatory).


• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.


• Strong command of spoken and written English.
