Job Description - Senior Academic Coordinator

Coordinate the academic activities of the senior secondary section.

Support teachers in curriculum planning, lesson delivery, assessments, and academic documentation.

Monitor syllabus completion and academic progress across subjects.

Coordinate examinations, assessments, schedules, and result analysis.

Guide teachers in maintaining academic standards and effective classroom practices.

Monitor student performance and identify areas requiring academic support.

Coordinate with parents, teachers, counsellors, and school leadership.

Support students with academic planning, subject choices, and higher-education preparation.

Organize academic meetings, workshops, and professional-development activities.

Ensure effective implementation of school policies and academic procedures.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject.

B.Ed. qualification is required/preferred depending on school requirements.

Relevant teaching experience at the senior secondary level.

Prior experience as a Coordinator, Academic Leader, HOD, or similar role is preferred.

Strong knowledge of senior secondary curriculum and assessment practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to coordinate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and school management.
