Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will join Avalara's Finance department as a member of the Cash Application Team. The Specialist is responsible for posting and applying all service related payments, reporting, handling cash app escalations, assist and support to internal team. This position has a high degree of daily contact with customers, other internal departments, and managers via email and telephone.

• Perform daily payment posting and reconcilation.
• Support Customer Payment related inquiry.
• Manage Cash Appllication Escalations.
• Provide payment application support to Collection and Billing Operation Team.
• Allocation of credit and payment as per the instruction from customer and collection team.
• AR Aging Reconciliation.
• Resolve Credit Card and ACH Chargebacks.
• Manage Customers Auto Payment Program.
• Perform Bad Debt Write off.
• Manage customer refund.
• Prepare MIS Report.
• Bank Reconciliation.
• Prepare/Update Process Document as per the latest SOP.
• Perform Journal Posting.
• Handling queries of team menbers.
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
• 4-6 years of Cash Application Specialist experience.
• Advanced MS Office skills (MS Excel Formulas), including experience building detailed financial models.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
