Job Description:

Regular calculation and analysis of US GAAP, statutory, and tax reserves for life and health products (expertise on Life Insurance Products, health is good to have)
The individual’s primary responsibilities include regular production, analysis, and validation of US GAAP, statutory, and tax reserves.
Assisting in Statutory valuation under US Accounting valuation.
Assisting in implementation of new regulatory and accounting standards (PBR, LDTI, etc.) – Principles Based Reserving (new statutory accounting standard-(VM20) Valuation Manual 20), Long duration targeted Improvement, good to have)
The individual will also participate in the process of producing statutory annual statements and actuarial memoranda.
Improvements to and validation of production processes and models
Ensuring that reserve calculations are up to date and in line with current valuation law
Providing support for production of annual statements and actuarial memoranda
Responding to requests from internal and external auditors

             Roles And Responsibilities:

2+ years of actuarial experience in the life insurance, preferably with exposure to US accounting standards on life as mandatory and health products (good to have)
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, actuarial, or programming
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) (reference (vlookup, hlookup) and mathematical functions) /Access will be preferred
Experience with VBA, SAS, MG Triton, Mainframe, or similar programs preferred.
Able to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills
