Who fits the bill
Education background required: Engineers and/or MBA –
Premier Institutes
Experience : Around 3-5 years
Sector experience – Investing experience primarily in Consumer
Tech is most preferred.
Direct operator experience or Founder’s Office experience in
consumer tech companies would also be considered favorably.

Job Description
A Senior Analyst in a venture capital (VC) firm plays a
crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and managing potential investment
opportunities. The job description of a senior analyst in a VC firm includes

Sectors Experience:
a. Working with
Sector heads, build and shape fund’s investment thesis in multiple sectors and
related sub sectors, with a primary focus on Consumer Tech
b. Develop a deeper
understanding of Specific industries across demographics.
c. Build relevant
networks with founders and investors in the sectors involved.
d. Other
Activities: Organization-wide initiatives working closely with Fund leadership
across firm activities, leadership, industry events, LP discussions.
Major responsibilities:
Deal sourcing and support: The role holder is
responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities by actively
searching for promising startups in their respective sectors / sub-themes. This
involves deep outbound research, leveraging founder / investor networks, attending
industry conferences and events, reviewing business plans and pitch decks, and
monitoring industry news and trends.
· Investing: Based
on the due diligence - researching the industry, analysing the startup’s
financials, and assessing the team’s capabilities, the role holder shall make
recommendations to the senior team regarding whether to invest in the startup.
This involves creating financial models and preparing investment memos to
present to the investment committee, in due course leading the deals and take
full ownership of the deals.
· Portfolio
management: The role holder also plays a key role in managing the firm’s
existing portfolio of investments. This involves working closely with portfolio
companies to provide strategic guidance and support, and tracking their
progress against key metrics, eventually manage the respective portfolio leads.
· Reporting: The
role holder is also responsible for preparing regular reports and updates for
senior management and investors on the performance of the portfolio companies
and the overall investment strategy of the firm.
· Networking: The
role Holder is expected to build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs,
other investors, and key industry players to stay informed on the latest trends
and opportunities.
· Sector Research
and Thought Leadership: Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations,
and disruptions within the defined sector, and share insights with the
investment team and the wider community through thought leadership pieces,
presentations, and participation in industry events.
· Team
Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the investment team to
collectively drive the firm's investment strategy, share insights, and
contribute to the growth of the overall VC ecosystem.
Overall, this role holder plays a critical role in sourcing,
evaluating, and managing potential investment opportunities, support in exits,
and eventually lead the deals independently over a period of time. May
also involve fund raising role contributions support along with the deal
lead/fund raising leads, if required. The role requires a combination of
financial, analytical, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work
independently and as part of a team.
