We are seeking a Lead Azure Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in Node.js application development and a solid understanding of cloud-native architecture on Microsoft
Azure. The role involves designing and delivering scalable, secure, and efficient web applications and APIs leveraging Azure
services such as App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, and Event Hub. The candidate will be responsible for building
innovative, reliable, and high-performing software solutions that support consumer-facing applications, internal
operations, and enterprise value chain needs through the development of modular business services and supporting
components
Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities
▪ Design, develop and deliver solutions that meet business line and enterprise requirements.
▪ Lead a team of Python developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support in project execution.
▪ Participates in rapid prototyping and POC development efforts.
▪ Advances overall enterprise technical architecture and implementation best practices.
▪ Assists in efforts to develop and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
▪ Participates in iteration and release planning.
▪ Performs functional and non-functional testing.
▪ Informs efforts to develop and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
▪ Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and
federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.

Job Specification / Skills and Competencies
▪ Design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions leveraging Azure-native services (App Service, Azure Functions,
Cosmos DB, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, etc.) that meet business and enterprise
requirements.
▪ Lead and participate in rapid prototyping and POC development using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Azure
services to validate solution feasibility.
▪ Advance enterprise technical architecture by promoting Azure-native design patterns, cloud-first strategies, and
implementation best practices.
▪ Collaborate with stakeholders to define, refine, and document functional and non-functional requirements
aligned with Azure-based application architecture.
▪ Participate in Agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, backlog grooming, and release planning while
contributing to continuous integration and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
▪ Develop and maintain APIs and microservices using Node.js/Express, deployed in Azure environments with
proper monitoring and scaling.
▪ Perform functional and non-functional testing, ensuring performance, security, and scalability in the Azure
ecosystem.
▪ Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations, while adhering to enterprise cloud
governance and Azure security practices.
▪ Deliver high-quality, production-ready code with strong emphasis on reusability, reliability, and maintainability.
▪ Provide accurate task estimations and deliver work according to agreed timelines.
▪ Collaborate in a cross-functional team, promoting DevOps, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
practices (ARM/Bicep/Terraform).
▪ Thrive in a rapid-iteration environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities while ensuring
resilience and uptime.
▪ Refactor and modernize legacy systems to Azure-native, service-oriented architectures.
▪ Contribute to cloud migration efforts, moving workloads from on-prem or third-party platforms (e.g.,
Render.com) into Azure with minimal disruption.
▪ Promote observability and monitoring practices by implementing Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log
Analytics dashboards.
▪ Foster shared ownership of applications, constructively present and debate solution alternatives, and mentor
junior developers when needed.
▪ Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across technical and non-technical audiences.
▪ Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability and initiative in cloud-first solution
delivery.
