Senior Android Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer with 8-10 years of experience in Android app development, primarily using Kotlin. The ideal candidate should have expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications, a deep understanding of Android frameworks, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.

• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend teams for seamless integration.

• Implement MVVM architecture and best coding practices.

• Work with Jetpack components, Room, ViewModel, LiveData, and Coroutines.

• Ensure app security, including data encryption and secure APIs.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

• Integrate third-party libraries, APIs, and SDKs as required.

• Stay updated with the latest Android trends, tools, and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Android app development.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack components.

• Experience with MVVM architecture, Coroutines, and Dependency Injection (Dagger/Hilt/Koin).

• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Retrofit, and GraphQL.

• Knowledge of SQLite, Room Database, and data persistence techniques.

• Strong understanding of Material Design principles and Android UI development.

• Experience in unit testing (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito).

• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).

• Familiarity with Google Play Store policies and app submission process.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or Flutter.

• Knowledge of Android Compose for modern UI development.

• Exposure to IoT, BLE, or Android Things.

• Experience with cloud services like Firebase, AWS, or Azure.
