Job Description - Senior Application Engineer- Structures

• Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations.

• Interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows; analyze how to address customers’ requirements using Ansys products and platform, articulate Ansys’ value proposition

• Create differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and products; deploy the solutions within customers’ design workflows

• Personally own the customer support experience, practice active listening skills and respond positively to situations requiring cooperation, courtesy and tact

• Develop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expert

• Contribute to webinars, workshops and trainings on tool usage

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering with 5+ years proficiency in engineering analysis using ANSYS or other commercial FEA packages (Simulia, Nastran or similar).

• Good knowledge of Finite Element Analysis viz. Structural, Thermal, Vibration, Nonlinear, Material, Fatigue and Explicit Dynamics.

• Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Ansys’ business and is/will be sought out for advice by other Ansys engineers

• Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English, excellent presentation skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency

• Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions

• Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a geographically diverse team environment
