Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect with deep expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning, enterprise systems, and shared services. The candidate will define and lead the technology architecture vision for internal enterprise systems and shared services platforms, ensuring alignment with stc’s business strategy and industry best practices. This role will support major enterprise-wide transformation initiatives within a telecom environment.
The ideal candidate has a proven record of accomplishment of architecting large-scale ERP and enterprise solutions, leading cross-functional teams, and leveraging emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and cloud services to drive modernization and operational excellence. This role requires strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and continuous awareness of trends such as AI-driven automation and cloud-native architectures to ensure long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities1. Architecture Vision & Leadership
Define and lead the enterprise architecture vision for ERP, ensuring alignment with business strategy and program objectives.
Serve as the technical authority for the ERP domain and internal systems, establishing the technology roadmap and architectural blueprint.
2. Cross-Domain Design
Architect end-to-end blueprints across ERP and corporate systems, ensuring seamless integration.
Design scalable, modular, and resilient architectures capable of integrating legacy systems with modern cloud-based services while planning necessary modernization efforts.
3. Innovation & Best Practices
Drive adoption of modern technologies and architectural best practices including AI, machine learning, automation, analytics, and next-generation enterprise applications.
4. Governance & Standards
Build and enforce architecture governance, reference architectures, and design standards.
Apply frameworks such as TOGAF for enterprise architecture and APQC’s PCF for ERP process alignment.
TM Forum standards may be used where telecom integration is relevant.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, development, infrastructure, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust architectural designs.
Lead architecture workshops and design reviews with internal teams and vendors.
6. Architecture Roadmap & Transition Planning
Develop ERP architecture roadmaps based on analysis of as-is and to-be states, identifying capability gaps and defining transition plans.
Oversee phased execution while ensuring alignment with architectural intent.
7. Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate architecture vision and roadmap to senior stakeholders.
Translate complex concepts into business-friendly terms and act as a trusted advisor for technology decisions.
Qualifications and SkillsEducation
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Master’s degree preferred.
Architecture certifications such as TOGAF are strongly valued.
Experience
More than twelve years of enterprise architecture experience with significant exposure to ERP domains.
Proven involvement in ERP transformation programs and implementations across:
Finance
HR
Supply Chain
Procurement
Shared Services
Telecom experience is an advantage.
Domain Expertise
Deep understanding of ERP platforms such as:
SAP
Oracle
Microsoft Dynamics
Strong knowledge of ERP integration with adjacent domains including:
CRM

Data Platforms
Industry Standards & Frameworks
Knowledge of:
TOGAF
APQC PCF
ITIL
Awareness of telecom frameworks where necessary.
Technical Skills
Expertise in application, data, and integration architectures.

Additional
Fluent in English.
Certifications & Professional Development
TOGAF 9 or 10 certification or equivalent.
ERP certifications such as SAP or Oracle are a plus.
Additional certifications in AWS or Azure, ITIL, or project management are beneficial.
