Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Direct Tax professionals to join the tax advisory team based in GIFT City. The role will involve providing direct tax advisory and compliance support to clients, with a strong focus on the Financial Services sector and GIFT City / IFSC-related matters.

Candidates with relevant Financial Services experience are specifically preferred. Exposure to M&A / transaction tax will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Tax advisory and consulting support to clients.


• Handle tax-related matters for clients operating in the Financial Services sector.


• Advise clients on applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act and related regulations.


• Work on tax planning, structuring and advisory assignments.


• Support clients on tax implications of business and financial transactions.


• Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, circulars, notifications and judicial developments.


• Prepare and review tax opinions, advisory reports, presentations and client deliverables.


• Interact with clients to understand business requirements and provide practical tax solutions.


• Coordinate with internal teams and other specialists on multidisciplinary assignments.


• Support business development initiatives, including preparation of proposals and presentations, where required.


• For candidates with relevant exposure, work on M&A / transaction tax assignments as an additional area of responsibility.
