Job Description - Senior Associate, Product Manager - Portfolio & channel management, Consumer Banking Group

DBS Bank India Limited is the first among the large foreign banks in India to start operating as a wholly owned, locally incorporated subsidiary of a leading global bank. In November 2020, Lakshmi Vilas Bank was merged with DBS Bank India Limited. DBS Bank India is now present in ~350 locations in 19 Indian states.

Job Purpose    

This role involves overseeing and implementing processes, policies, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Key Accountabilities    -    

Policy Development and Governance: Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of regulatory circular changes, frameworks, policies, and procedures both internally and regulatory directions.
-    Regulatory Compliance*: Manage relationships with regulators, audit, and compliance assurance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
-    Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and provide insights and analysis to support business decisions.
-    Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
-    Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leaders, business partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Job Duties & responsibilities    Ensure regulatory changes are implemented by respective product teams within consumer Banking division and work towards refinement of policy, documents and processes.
Engage various cross functional stake-holders team for timely delivery of set objectives like New Product Approval, Outsourcing Risk Review, setting check points in RCSA, Quality assurance requirements and development of exception reports for governance to verify if policy & procedures is implemented as per its design.
Track and represent status of regulatory circular implementation, status of issues raised by regulators in various governance forums. 

Required Experience :

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex data, identify issues, and develop solutions.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, build relationships, and influence stakeholders.
Business Acumen: Ability to understand business needs, operations and be an enabler to business growth but ensuring regulatory compliances are met with

Education / Preferred Qualifications  

 CA or Qualified MBA,

Core Competencies  

Consumer Banking regulatory circular understanding especially on liabilities (CASA), KYC including digital onboarding and gold loan products. The candidate should have adequate working experience in areas of operational risk, self-assessment testing and have performed audits/reviews over consumer banking products 
Technical Competencies    

Good at Data Analytics, Understanding of Customer Data and downstream impact 
Work Relationship Consumer Banking Product Heads/delegates
Consumer Banking Operations
Consumer Banking Compliance officers
Internal Audit team
