Role: US Mortgage Operations
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end processing support for Residential US mortgage loans. You will work closely with brokers, lenders, and third-party vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and accurate loan fi le processing through all stages of the mortgage lifecycle.
Responsibilities
â Review and verify mortgage loan applications (1003 / URLA) and supporting financial documents (W-2s, tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, asset documentation).
â Analyze Title Reports, Appraisals, Flood Certifications, Tax Transcripts (4506-C), VOE (Verification of Employment), and Verification of Mortgage or Verification of Rent.
â Reconcile borrower income, assets, credit histories, and liabilities according to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.
â Clear underwriting conditions and assist in resolving complex document discrepancies or red flags.
â Ensure strict adherence to US mortgage regulatory compliance standards (TRID, RESPA, TILA, CFPB, QM/ATR rules).
â Coordinate with settlement agents, title companies, and attorneys to gather closing documents.
â Assist in post-closing reviews, trailing document management, and investor delivery readiness.
â Maintain clear and direct communication with loan officers, processors, and management regarding pipeline status and bottleneck resolution
Qualifications and Experience
â Qualifications: Bachelorâs degree in finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
â Exposure to NMLS guidelines, or coursework toward MBA-CMB or similar mortgage banking certification.
â Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in US Residential Mortgage Processing / Support. Prior experience working in a Global Capability Centre (GCC), BPO, or shared services environment handling US mortgage operations.
â Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the end-to-end US mortgage lifecycle (Origination, Processing, Underwriting Support, Closing, Post-Closing).
â Guidelines: Solid knowledge of Conventional (Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac) and Government (FHA / VA / USDA) loan products.
â Systems Experience: Hands-on experience with modern Loan Origination Systems (LOS) such as Encompass, Calyx Point, or BytePro.
â Regulations: Familiarity with federal mortgage regulations including TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and TILA.
