Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant – Australian Domain

Location: Ahmedabad
Experience: 4+ Years in Australian Taxation
Shift: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Type: Full-Time / Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with strong expertise in Australian tax laws, compliance, and client advisory. You will work with Australian accounting firms, SMEs, and high-net-worth individuals to manage end-to-end tax compliance and advisory services under ATO regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, trust, and company tax returns in compliance with ATO standards.
• Prepare financial statements, BAS, IAS, and FBT returns using cloud accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online).
• Conduct tax planning and advisory for Australian clients, especially SMEs and sole traders.
• Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide feedback.
• Handle correspondence with the ATO and other statutory bodies (under direction of the Australian CA/CPA).
• Work closely with Australian client managers to meet deadlines and maintain compliance.
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all accounting and tax deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Commerce/Accounting.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Australian tax and accounting domain.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Taxation Law, ATO regulations, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Xero, MYOB, HandiTax, or APS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Candidates pursuing or holding CA (India) or CPA Australia / IPA / ICAA.
• Experience working in Australian accounting outsourcing/KPO firms.
• Experience with Workpapers or cloud-based document management systems.
