HIRING | SENIOR AZURE PLATFORM SUPPORT ENGINEER 

The role will focus on Azure Windows Server VMs, Azure SQL Managed Instance, vendor/enterprise applications, CI/CD, automation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and application platform operations.

 Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, patch, administer, and support Commercial, ETRM/CTRM, Market Data, and vendor applications.
  
• Administer applications hosted on Azure Windows Server VMs and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  
• Manage Windows Services, IIS, scheduled tasks, certificates, service accounts, middleware, and application configurations.
  
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for deployments, releases, database deployment, validation, approvals, and rollback.
  
• Use Terraform for application environment provisioning within enterprise-approved standards.
  
• Develop PowerShell/scripts for automation, patching, health checks, configuration validation, and log collection.
  
• Troubleshoot application, Windows, SQL MI, connectivity, integration, certificate, storage, and configuration issues.
  
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, RCA, and reliability improvements.
  
• Support application upgrades, environment refreshes, DR/resilience testing, and lifecycle activities.
  
• Collaborate with Development, Business SMEs, Vendors, Cloud, Database, Security, and Service Management teams.
  
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, support runbooks, and operational standards.
  

 Mandatory Technical Skills

 Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETRM/CTRM, Energy Trading, Market Data, Risk, Scheduling, Logistics, Settlement, or Pricing platforms.
  
• Exposure to RightAngle, TriplePoint, PlanLogic, Endur, ZEMA, or similar vendor applications.
  
• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Splunk, REST APIs, middleware, messaging, .NET, Python, Bash, or enterprise schedulers.
  
• Knowledge of ITIL, change management, SOX controls, audit readiness, and disaster recovery.
  
• Relevant Azure, GitHub, Terraform, or SQL certifications are an advantage.
  

 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, MIS, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  
• 9+ years overall experience in application platform engineering, DevOps, application operations, SRE, or related roles.
  
• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting Azure-hosted Windows and SQL-based business applications.
  
• Proven experience in application deployments, vendor upgrades, automation, production support, and platform improvements.
