Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking to hire a kick -ass senior backend engineer to our super fast -growing team. As a senior BE engineer, you will be responsible to architect and contribute to development of the core services of Insent. You will work very closely with the CTO and other Senior members of the engineering team

Insent is a super fast -growing, enterprise focussed startup, building a conversational platform for enterprises. We are a Techstars Seattle portfolio company with a stellar list of Angel Investors who are highly successful entrepreneurs themselves. Both founders are second time entrepreneurs with past successful exits.

**Engineers work cycle at Insent**

As a member of the Insent Engineering team, your core responsibility is to translate defined business requirements and goals into modules / features in the Insent product. This will involve direct and continuous collaboration with multiple stakeholders including Executive Leadership, Customer Success (who receive direct feedback from customers), Product Managers, Designers. You will be expected to design and architect solutions for features / modules you own, keeping in mind both long term aspects of the platform including security, stability and scalability, but also keep in mind week on week agility. You will also perform code review of other peers, mentor and guide Junior developers.

**Hiring Process**

We will do a quick screen of your resume. If we see you as a fit, we will have a quick text chat with CTO and one Senior Engineer

Post that, if we see you as a fit we will move you to an assignment phase. You will be given a problem statement to solve which will primarily involve some architecture and coding. We never hire anyone without seeing their code. So this is a mandatory step. This is a collaborative exercise where we hope to talk to you on a continuous basis through the exercise. This could take 2 -5 days depending on how much time you have to devote for this

If you do well in the assignment, we will make an offer almost immediately within a day.

**Job Location**

Our engineering team works from Chennai(Remote now because of COVID 19). But in some rare cases and for exceptions we will be OK with you being remote

**Experience / Skill required**

* 4+ years of developer experience, with 2+ years in Node JS / MongoDB.

* Strong background on AWS and microservices architecture is added bonus

* Understanding and past experience of using CI/CD tools is a major plus

* Past experience architecting highly scalable solutions is a plus
