Senior Backend Engineer

Requirements

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in both Backend and Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in software engineering who can architect and engineer backend solutions oriented to mobile applications, have a deep understanding of Javascript/Typescript, modern mobile app development technologies and architecture patterns. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust APIs for native apps, from designing and implementing backend services to manage 3^rd Party Integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design highly scalable, fault -tolerant, and secure backend systems for mobile apps.
  
• Develop microservices and integration with third -party systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  
• Collaborate with frontend developers, data engineers, and other teams to define and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
  
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and low latency.
  
• Design and develop secure data access layers and manage integrations with various external services.
  
• Design and implement data pipelines for streaming and batch processing.
  
• Ensure code quality, perform code reviews, and promote best practices in backend development of your team.
  
• Work closely with stakeholders to define technical solutions for business requirements.
  

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  
• Proven experience in leading backend development teams and large -scale projects.
  
• Expert in Javascript/Typescript.
  
• Expert implementing push notifications.
  
• Expert in Node.js, NestJS and other frameworks.
  
• Experience with Push Notifications, and other native apps services.
  
• Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  
• Strong knowledge of databases including RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB), including popular ORMs like Drizzle.
  
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles (Clean Architecture, Hexagonal, MVC, etc.), system security, and API design.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and serverless technologies.
  

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with Java, Golang, Scala and C#.
  
• Experience with fintech systems, particularly in payment systems and security layers.
  
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), transcription models, and prompting engineering.
  
• Experience in implementing scalable data processing pipelines using ML/AI techniques.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
  
• Experience in both agile and traditional development methodologies.
