Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

We are looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with 3 to 6 years of expertise to create and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems. The perfect candidate should have strong skills in TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and Fastify, along with extensive knowledge of API design, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and up-to-date testing frameworks.

This position demands advanced technical proficiency in Node.js and modern web technologies, the capability to work collaboratively within an Agile team, and the ability to support full lifecycle delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Node.js with TypeScript.
• Develop RESTful APIs leveraging frameworks such as Express and Fastify.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
• Create thorough unit tests to guarantee code quality and reliability.
• Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
• Enhance application performance and resolve issues encountered in production.
• Take part in architectural planning and technical design discussions.
• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and safer deployments.
• Engage in code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and security.
• Support R&D efforts by staying current with emerging technologies and contributing to innovation discussions.
• Provide on-call support during major events and critical system deployments.
• Represent the company in technical discussions, client meetings, and project reviews as required.

Background and Experience:

• 3 to 6 years of practical backend development experience using Node.js.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript.
• Familiarity with the Express and Fastify frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of unit testing with Jest or similar testing tools.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design, authentication mechanisms (JWT/OAuth), and security best practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency with Git workflows and version control systems.
• Strong grasp of asynchronous programming, event-driven architectures, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
