Senior BIM Modeler - Electrical

Job Summary

The Senior BIM Modeler – Electrical is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing detailed electrical BIM models for building and infrastructure projects. The role involves creating accurate 3D models, preparing construction documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with project standards, and supporting project delivery throughout the design and construction lifecycle. The Senior BIM Modeler also provides technical guidance to junior modelers and contributes to BIM process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using industry-standard software.


• Create electrical layouts, power distribution systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, low-voltage systems, and cable routing models.


• Produce construction drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and BIM deliverables from models.


• Ensure model accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.


• Coordinate electrical models with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines.


• Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM coordination tools.


• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate technical issues to project teams.


• Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure efficient project execution.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in BIM software such as:

• Strong understanding of electrical building systems and construction methodologies.


• Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).


• Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and construction documentation.


• Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and standards.


• 6–10 years of experience in BIM modeling and electrical drafting for building or infrastructure projects.


• Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior BIM modeler role.


• Proven experience in commercial, residential, healthcare, data center, industrial, or mixed-use projects.


• Hands-on experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash resolution.


• Experience working in international projects (Middle East, USA, UK, Europe, or APAC regions) is preferred.


• Demonstrated ability to lead BIM deliverables and mentor junior team members
