Senior Business Analyst

What are we looking for:

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance broking processes and the ability to streamline and analyze data to support underwriting decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements specific to insurance broking.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs and challenges.
• Analysis and Documentation:
• Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement in insurance operations.
• Prepare detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications tailored to insurance broking.
• Project Management:
• Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the insurance broking sector.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Solution Design:
• Work with IT and development teams to design and implement solutions that align with insurance broking business objectives and requirements.
• Ensure solutions are compliant with industry regulations and standards.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a liaison between business units and IT/development teams, focusing on the unique needs of insurance broking.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and outcomes.

• Testing and Validation:
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are effective for insurance broking.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for improvements.
• Data Analysis and Underwriting Support:
• Streamline and analyze data to support business decision-making and strategy development in the insurance broking context.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management with insights specific to insurance broking.
• Develop systems and processes to collect, manage, and analyze data to make underwriting decisions more efficient and accurate.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of insurance broking processes and systems.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with project management methodologies.
