Established in January 2005, KCI in Gurgaon, collaborates with the Global offices of Egon Zehnder. The Experts Team comprises of individuals aligned to Industry or Functional Practices who work end-to-end on solving client mandates. The Experts provide insights from internal/external databases, expert perspectives on industry trend and through their experiences. Most of the team members come with an industry specialization (working in consulting or industry or both) and deliver insights for solving critical client problems.

The Position
The Expert will use her/his/their deep domain knowledge to execute a diverse range of leadership consulting projects. This individual will play a key role in partnering with other members of the Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) team and other service line teams across industries and functions to pitch and execute work which includes executive assessments, executive development, culture assessments, top team journeys and organization transformation mandates. The role has the potential to grow into a fully client facing role. The role may require project management and team leadership skills, or expect the expert to work in partnership with members of a large project team executing assessments alongside other consultants, which requires sophisticated interviewing skills and thought leadership.
As an experienced hire, this individual is expected to lead by example and act as an informal mentor and coach to both junior and senior members of team they work with throughout the organization – many of which will only have limited exposure to advisory solutions outside of executive search. At times, the Expert will serve as an individual contributor and, at other times, they will assume a project leadership role depending on the project requirements. This individual has no formal direct reports.
We provide a comprehensive onboarding and training program for every new hire, including formal mentors within the Leadership Advisory team and the local office.
Key Accountabilities
Assignment Execution:
·Drives the implementation of solutions together with consultants, in some cases serving as the point person for client.
·Serves as a thought partner to the team on all aspects of the project by identifying and developing a high-quality, rigorous approach. Supplements expertise by collaborating as needed with other members of the global LAS team with specific expertise.
·Depending on their role on projects, achieves goals either by managing teams of experts or individually contributing expertise and insights to project team(s).
·Partner in client interactions throughout the project (i.e., kick-off discussions, interviews, 360 references, feedback conversations, and presentation of overall results).
·Develops training on Egon Zehnder methodology/IP with either clients or with affinity research and consultants to build capability inside and outside of the firm, and leads/delivers trainings, as appropriate.
Business Development:
·Thinks creatively about solving client problems and develops ideas through preparation of customized client proposals, pitch materials, and presentations in partnership with LAS team members and consultants.
·Participates in pitch meetings and drives elements of the agenda/discussion as appropriate and based on areas of expertise.
·Continuously deepens expertise on leadership trends through internal and external research and network to compete effectively.
·Monitors market movements, company activity, and broader industry trends to identify potential business development opportunities and rally team around specific actions.
Contributes to Content & IP Development
·Regarded as an expert in the firm. Identifies and tracks emerging trends in area(s) of expertise and applies them through continuous improvement of the Firm’s solutions, usually in partnership with a more senior LAS team member.
·Leads research to support IP initiatives for the Firm, i.e., supports in creating research-backed studies and papers/materials beyond what is already available at the Firm.
·Contributes to the Firm’s knowledge management activities by looking for opportunities to build and
share expertise and develop best practices.
·Partners with local and global leadership on key practice knowledge initiatives and knowledge sharing.
·Creates awareness of Egon Zehnder capability and expertise in the external community through personal or industry networks.
