Accountabilities:
As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decisions across the organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and ensure analytics platforms deliver accurate, accessible, and valuable insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing comprehensive BI solutions, dashboards, and reporting applications.
- Transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable visualizations and business insights.
- Partnering with business teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
- Optimizing existing reports and dashboards to improve performance, usability, and scalability.
- Developing and maintaining data models, reporting frameworks, and BI documentation.
- Applying best practices for BI development, governance, and solution delivery.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and analytics processes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced BI professional with strong technical skills, business understanding, and the ability to translate complex data requirements into effective analytics solutions.
Required qualifications and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development, with strong expertise in MicroStrategy.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, data querying, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with modern BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Proven ability to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics use cases.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data science concepts.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Experience working with industry-specific analytics solutions.
- Previous experience mentoring or guiding junior BI developers.
