Job Description

Profile Summary:   

We are developing solar, wind and solar- wind hybrid sites across India. If you have deep understanding of design and engineering of civil foundations for various equipment and Module Mounting Structures for solar power plants, then join our enthusiastic team of professionals, who wish to be part of energy transition for large scale solar and wind projects in India. 

Roles and responsibilities   

You shall perform following functions including but not limit to: 

• Review of Geotechnical, topographical survey and land selection. 
• Prepare in-house drawings and technical specifications. 
• Adoption of optimized design and applying technical principles on MMS foundation, structures, foundation, equipment foundations, road, and other civil works. 
• Preparation of design basis reports and perform structural design calculations based on same. 
• Review vendor design/drawings, RC detailed drawings, Bar-bending schedule, BoQ etc. 
• Able to design RCC, PEB, and steel structures.  
• Estimate material BOQ, cut &filling BOQ and earth works. 
• Resolution of construction queries from site and visit the sites whenever required. 
• Demonstrate work management and time management to meet project timelines. 

Basic Requirements  

• Sound in design knowledge in areas of solar plant layouts, MMS, Transmission Tower Structural design, main control room, prefab structures & general civil requirements of large-scale solar power plants 
• Structural foundation design for control room foundation footings, Prefab/modular structure, Inverter duty transformer, substation equipment foundation footings, cable trench design, Cable trench support design, 2P/4P power evacuation structure. 
• Strong conceptualization ability, thorough with Staad Pro. 
• Foundation design for control room foundation footings, substation equipment foundation footings, Power transformer foundation design, Cable trench design, Cable trench support design 
• Vetting of technical drawings and documents. 
• Preparing specifications, technical report, BOM and BOQ. 
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a must, 
• Capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams. 
• Good oral and written communication skills, 
• Willing to travel, and work successfully in a customer focused, project-oriented environment. 

 Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering from institute of repute.
• Knowledge of IS codes and industry practices.

Experience:

• 10 - 15  years’ experience in structural design with minimum 5 years in solar domain.
• Proven track record of managing civil execution on solar power plants (both ground-mounted and rooftop).
• Hands-on experience with civil works like site preparation, foundation construction, trenching, and installation of mounting systems for solar panels.

Technical Expertise:

• Hand-on experience in AutoCAD, Staad Pro (mandatory) and MS office, Solid works, 3D MAX.
• Knowledge of IS codes and industry practices.

Preferred Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and authorities.
• Proficient in the use of electrical instruments, design software, and project management tools. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
