Description

WSP India is seeking an experienced and adaptable Project Management Expert to join the Earth & Environment (E&E) business line supporting the US GCC region. This opportunity is ideal for a project professional with strong expertise in project controls, project execution, scheduling, document management, procurement, and project governance, complemented by a sound understanding of E&E engineering projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a growing portfolio of multidisciplinary projects by ensuring efficient project delivery, operational excellence, and adherence to established project management standards.



Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Facilitate successful project execution by working closely with project managers, engineering teams, procurement functions, and key stakeholders to align scope, schedule, budget, and delivery objectives.
  • Implement and maintain project controls processes to track project performance, identify risks, and provide actionable insights for effective decision-making.
  • Partner with technical teams to understand project requirements and support the timely delivery of quality project outputs.
  • Oversee document management processes, procurement tracking activities, and compliance with project governance, quality, and operational standards.

Project Operations

Programme Management, Reporting & Controls

  • Support portfolio and regional leadership in monitoring key financial metrics, including revenue, costs, accounts receivable (AR), work-in-progress (WIP), and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Monitor project performance indicators through WSP systems, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare and coordinate progress reports, dashboards, meeting records, and project documentation to support project teams and client stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance project schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and action trackers to support effective project governance.

Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, including technical, commercial, planning, and construction functions, to promote integrated project delivery.
  • Foster strong collaboration between US and India teams by ensuring alignment on project priorities, deliverables, schedules, and responsibilities.
  • Plan and facilitate project meetings, workshops, and review sessions to support informed decision-making and project progress.
  • Risk, Change & Quality Management
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and escalation of project risks and issues that may affect scope, schedule, cost, or overall delivery.
  • Administer change management processes, including impact assessments, tracking of change requests, and coordination of approvals.
  • Promote quality excellence by ensuring compliance with established procedures, project delivery frameworks, and WSP quality standards.

Project Management

  • Support the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, budgeting, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource coordination, risk and change management, compliance monitoring, and project closeout activities within ERP systems.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to coordinate project execution, monitor schedules and resources, manage timesheets and billing requirements, and facilitate stakeholder communications across global teams.
  • Strengthen project governance through portfolio reporting, document management, data quality reviews, lessons learned, forecasting, risk analysis, and monitoring of project health metrics to enable informed business decisions.

Other Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage supplier and subcontractor agreements, ensuring alignment with prime contract obligations and supporting contract negotiations and finalization activities.
  • Monitor contract performance, coordinate renewals and amendments, and maintain comprehensive contract records and repositories.
  • Support the creation, modification, and renewal of Work Orders (WOs) while ensuring timely vendor invoice processing within Oracle Horizon ERP.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Finance teams to track project expenditures, resolve procurement and contract-related matters, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, provide operational support to project teams, and contribute to procurement audits and capability-building initiatives.
  • Leverage analytics, forecasting tools, and Oracle systems to support procurement planning, maintain accurate procurement data, and drive continuous process improvements.


Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree from a reputed academic institution in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant Project Management experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry, typically 9–14 years

  • Good communication skills with clear command over spoken and written English.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Comfortable supporting US and international project teams and working across time zones.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as Power BI.

  • Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, driving timely and high‑quality delivery of project outcomes.

Preferred

  • Industry-recognised Project Management Qualification like ChPP or progressing towards professional accreditation.

  • Experience supporting projects delivered for US or international clients from an India-based location.

  • Exposure to digital project controls, dashboards, or structured reporting toolsProficient in MS 

  • CAPM-PMI / PMP certifications would be an added advantage.

  • Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
