Senior Consultant- Water Advisory

WSP is seeking an experienced professional to work for water advisory role within our Earth & Environment team, supporting design and infrastructure projects across diverse sectors. The successful candidate will drive initiatives that enhance, water conservation, and climate resilience, ensuring sustainable outcomes for large-scale developments and infrastructure projects.

As a consultant water advisory, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to embed water solutions throughout the project lifecycle, leveraging advanced modeling tools and global best practices.

You will be joining a well-respected, large and dynamic team with a wide range of clients across different markets and sectors including national and local government, industrial, commercial and scientific sectors. 

• Lead development of water master plans and integrated water resource planning studies.

• Advanced water demand forecasting and scenario modelling.

• Hydraulic modelling and network planning using WaterGEMS, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWorks ICM, EPANET, SewerGEMS, or equivalent.

• Strategic NRW planning and utility performance improvement programmes.

• Recycled water strategy and non-potable water planning.

• Climate resilience and infrastructure adaptation planning.

• Utility benchmarking and KPI framework development.

• Water sector strategy and policy development.

• Utility transformation and institutional strengthening.

• Governance and operating model design.

• Financial modelling, tariff assessments, and business case development.

• Stakeholder engagement, workshops, and executive presentation delivery.

• Leading technical proposals and technical write-ups.

• Developing methodologies, work plans, and resource estimates.

• Client relationship management and project delivery oversight.

• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.

• Experience in water quality assessment and/or monitoring (added advantage).

• Master’s degree in water resources, Infrastructure Planning, Utility Management, Economics, or equivalent preferred.

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability with flexible mindset

• Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.

• Collaborative mindset and outcome driven working method.
