Senior Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross -functional teams to ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and manipulation of data within our systems. Your expertise in Python, Pyspark, SQL, AWS Glue, and Athena will be essential in driving the success of our data engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust data solutions using Python, Pyspark, and SQL.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms.
  
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and scalability.
  
• Utilize AWS Glue and Athena to organize and query data effectively.
  
• Develop data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve data -related issues to maintain data reliability.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and apply best practices to enhance our data infrastructure.
  
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers to support their professional growth.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on data management and optimization.
  
• Strong proficiency in Python, Pyspark, and SQL.
  
• Extensive experience with AWS Glue and Athena.
  
• Solid understanding of data storage and retrieval concepts and best practices.
  
• Strong problem -solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non -technical stakeholders.
  
• Proven track record of delivering high -quality data engineering solutions within tight deadlines.
  
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members is a plus.
  
• AWS certifications in data engineering or related fields are highly desirable.
