As a Senior Data Engineer, you will engineer the data foundation for Manufacturing and Supply Chain. You will design, build and scale robust data pipelines and reusable data products, transforming complex supply chain data into trusted, high-quality, AI-ready datasets that enable forecasting, optimisation and intelligent decision-making. Your engineering will help create a more data-driven and resilient supply chain, ensuring medicines reach the people who need them.

What you’ll bring

You are a hands-on data engineer who builds with quality in mind and enjoys working with colleagues to solve real supply chain problems.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.


• Strong skills in SQL, Python and Spark-based development.


• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including notebooks, orchestration, workflows, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.


• Experience with the Azure data stack, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and GitHub.


• Experience managing and deploying infrastructure as code and CI/CD processes.


• Experience building and enforcing data quality frameworks, rules and code quality checks as part of the development lifecycle.


• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Useful, but not essential:

• Experience in supply chain systems, such as planning, logistics or warehousing.


• Exposure to ML workflows, MLOps or Databricks ML.


• Cloud or Databricks certifications.

What you’ll do

You will lead the engineering behind the data that supply chain teams rely on, from pipelines to AI-ready datasets, and help keep the platform stable, secure and cost-efficient.

• Lead end-to-end development of robust data pipelines, models and integration flows on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks and GitHub).


• Architect, optimise and automate Databricks workflows, including Jobs, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, cluster policies and cost governance.


• Build analytics- and AI-ready datasets that power forecasting, optimisation, automation and self-service insights.


• Ensure data quality, lineage, observability, governance and security, including GxP compliance where relevant, in line with enterprise data architecture and platform standards.


• Drive platform stability, help reduce incidents and champion continuous improvement.


• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards, patterns and reusable components.

You will join Manufacturing and Supply Chain Data Engineering team within Enterprise AI, at Novo , working with a global scope. You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing and supply chain Line of Businesses, AI Foundation , Enterprise Platform teams and other IT colleagues to deliver scalable, production-grade, AI ready data platforms that the business can trust and use.
