Overview

We are building a generic data platform
that connects to multiple databases and storage systems and exposes them
through a unified API layer—similar in spirit to Supabase, but designed to work
across heterogeneous data sources.

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform
Engineer who can design and build a connector -based architecture to integrate
relational databases, NoSQL systems, and object storage into a consistent,
developer -friendly platform.

Key
Responsibilities

Design and develop a pluggable connector
framework for multiple data sources

Build unified APIs (REST/GraphQL) for
interacting with different databases and storage systems

Implement schema discovery, metadata
management, and query abstraction layers

Develop connectors for:

·       Relational databases
(PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)

·       NoSQL systems (MongoDB,
DynamoDB)

·       Object storage (S3, CDN -based
storage like Bunny)

·       Design and implement
authentication, authorization, and access control across connectors

·       Optimize performance,
scalability, and reliability of data access

·       Implement logging, monitoring,
retries, and failure handling

·       Ensure secure handling of
credentials and multi -tenant isolation

·       Collaborate with frontend and
platform teams to enable low -code/internal tools usage

·       Build reusable SDKs and
developer tooling for platform consumption

Core
Technical Skills

Strong expertise in databases, especially:

·       PostgreSQL / MySQL

·       Advanced SQL, query
optimization, indexing, and performance tuning

·       Experience with NoSQL
databases:

·       Backend development experience
in one or more:

Architecture
& System Design

·       Experience designing
multi -tenant systems

·       Understanding of
connector/plugin -based architectures

·       Knowledge of data abstraction
across heterogeneous systems

·       Experience with event -driven
systems and async processing

·       Familiarity with schema
discovery and metadata management

Cloud
& Infrastructure

·       Experience with Amazon Web
Services (RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS)

·       Containerization (Docker) and
orchestration (optional: Kubernetes)

·       Monitoring tools (CloudWatch,
Datadog, etc.)

Nice to
Have

·       Experience with platforms like:

·       Experience with CDC (Change
Data Capture) and real -time systems

·       Knowledge of object storage and
CDN integrations

·       Exposure to internal tools /
low -code platforms

·       Experience building SDKs or
developer platforms
