Data Scientist Position

Analyzing data to understand what our players are telling us through their actions is critically important to attract and retain our valued players by improving their game playing experiences in innovative ways. Towards this mission, at Games 24x7, we are have a world class data science team which will provide critical inputs into both strategic and tactical business decisions, and thereby improve returnon investment. A Senior Data Scientist is an important cog in the wheel in this direction, who will interact with business groups to understand critical business problems, identify specific analytics and machine learning problems and solution approach to address complex problems, and manage and mentor junior data scientists to create cutting edge data-driven systems and technologies that can considerably impact the business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use of cutting edge data mining, machine learning techniques for building advanced recommender systems, knowledge management and insight generation.
• Understand business challenges and goals to formulate the approach for data analysis and model creation that will support business decision-making
• Take analytical objectives and define data requirements in terms of size, format, and cleansing needs for purposes of analysis, modeling/segmentation and reporting
• Research on innovative technologies to come up with novel data mining, modeling/segmentation approaches required to solve unique and complex business problems.
• Interpret, document and present/communicate analytical results to multiple business disciplines, providing conclusions and recommendations based on customer-centric data.
• Building intelligent systems leveraging the vast amount of available user/behaviour data to enrich the end-user experience.
• Manage and mentor other data scientists and associate data scientists.

Job Requirements:

• Masters’ (with 4+ years of experience) Or PhD (with 0 – 2 years of experience) in a relevant field such as Probability, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Artificial intelligence/Computer Science
• Experience with building data analytics models via supervised and unsupervised machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling techniques.
• Understanding of statistical modelling/machine learning/ data mining concepts and strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
• Strong background and experience in using R, SAS, MATLAB or equivalent statistical/data analysis tools and technologies is a must.
• Hands-on skills in using techniques such as Parametric and Non-Parametric Regression models, Artificial Neural Networks, SVM, Random Forrest, Gradient Boosting
• Background in complex modelling and advanced analytical techniques, including (but not limited to) predictive modelling, time series, hypothesis testing, factor analysis, and deep learning.
• Exposure to Big Data platforms like Hadoop, spark,hive etc and databases like SQL is desirable
• Ability to communicate complex models and analysis in a clear and precise manner
• Passion for understanding business problems; and identifying and solving hard technical problems stemming from them by leveraging high-volume and high-dimensional data from multiple sources.
