Senior Design Engineer - Automation

Experience preference:

From the field of design & development preferably from
Automation, Food, Pharma and health care industry. Who has worked on Industrial
automation, systems engineering projects whose role

predominantly was in mechanical engineering design, validations
and implementations.

This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise,
leadership abilities, and process awareness.

You will be expected to stay up to date with current automation
technologies and industry trends while continuously improving processes and
solutions.

Relevant industry Experience minimum 5 years.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from proposal
and planning through execution and delivery.

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and
broadens capabilities.

• Monitor and report on project progress, including technical
updates, scope, schedule, and cost adherence.

• Design and develop mechanical solutions that meet customer
requirements and industry standards.

• Perform engineering calculations and specify components as
needed.

• Lead internal and customer design reviews, ensuring clarity and
effectiveness in communication.

• Work according to project plans and schedules as determined by
the design lead.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure
seamless project execution.

• Ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and
translate them into effective design solutions.

• Plan project tasks for yourself and any assigned resources,
ensuring timely and quality completion.

• Adhere to all relevant quality standards, including revision
control, documentation, and procedural compliance.

• Present designs in structured design reviews with clear and
concise communication.

• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional
growth within the department.

• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely and high-quality
delivery.

Skills & Abilities:

• Requires strong skills in product technology, problem solving,
and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.

• Proficiency in Solidworks, Creo will be an added advantage.

• Proven experience in executing mechanical design projects from
concept to delivery, preferably in an automation environment.

• Requires mechanical design experience that involves static
structures, dynamic parts or assemblies, (and /or) usage of pneumatic elements.

• Requires proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components
for functional requirement and adopt engineering principles and technologies
during equipment/ machine constructions

• Requires working knowledge of GD&T applications based on
requirements.

• Requires experience of engineering change managements, analyse
and trouble shoot to problems occurred.

• Knowledgeable on ERP products like SAP /Oracle/ PDM would be nice
to have.

• Knowledgeable on vacuum technology.

• Knowledge of electrical engineering would be nice to have.
