Job Description - Senior Design Engineer - Electrical (Switchgear Product)

As an Engineering Manager/ Principal Engineer, you would be expected to have 15+ years’ experience in Electro -Mechanical Product Development like LV/MV Switch gears & other Power System Products and/or Substation Design. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Electrical Design engineering, managing technical leads, and overseeing production processes.

You are Expected to:

Lead and mentor a team of electrical design engineers and technical leads, fostering a collaborative and high -performance work environment.

Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support and solutions.

Oversee the creation and optimization of electrical designs for power systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Provide hands -on support and expertise in the production process to ensure electrical designs are executed correctly and efficiently.

Manage electrical design projects from concept or application design through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Requirements

Have B. Tech/M. Tech/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Have at least 10+ years of experience in the design of SLD/3 -Lines/Control Schematics, Cable sizing & routing, BOM creation & selection, Bus bar sizing & selection, Breaker selection.

Have 8+ years of experience in the design of electrical control panels, MV/LV switch gear panels, motor control center (MCC), and power control center (PCC) panels, Substations.

To have hands -on experience in Design calculations, structural and thermal analysis. Having arc resistant switch gears would be an added advantage.

Hands -on Experience in OEMs is an added advantage.

Have Excellent Knowledge on North American standards like UL, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, NEMA, ANSI/ASME Y 14.1.

3D CAD skills -Specifically SolidWorks or Inventor.

Demonstrated knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods. Exposure to FAT would be an added advantage.

Valid US Visa is an added advantage.
