Senior -Design Engineer - Project Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

·       Project Engineering – Datasheet review, customer spec review and other technical review.

·       Creation of Design Plan and review of design inputs and outputs.

·       Preparation / review of TA drawings and manufacturing drawings.

·       Preparation / review of Bill of materials – in ERP.

·       Preparation / review of detailed manufacturing drawings.

·       Preparation / review of design documents and operation and maintenance manuals for the product.

·       Prepare design (hand) calculations for the design development/ evaluation.

·       Discussion with customer for project review meetings, changes, clarifications.

·       Responsible for on time delivery and quality outputs.

·       Weekly reporting – project status and other Engineering and individual KPIs.

·       Responsible for providing technical support for sales, operations and service teams.

·       Manufacturing and field service support during assembly / commissioning.

·       Sales and pre-engineering support for sales during quotation stage

·       Design and manufacturing review with sales and operations.

·       Training the young engineers and other team members.

·       Visit customer for resolving technical discussions and resolving issues.

·       Make innovative changes in the existing product for improvements and easy manufacture.

·       Attend meetings, trainings and conferences to develop knowledge and skills.

·       Work with all IMI locations worldwide to understand the identified product, and its design and engineering requirements.

Requirements

Critical Competencies for Success

·         Graduate / Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering from reputed colleges / universities

·         Having minimum 5-8 years of design experience in control valve industry.

·         Good understanding on Control Valves Sizing and Selection and design.

·         Good knowledge on actuator & accessories selection and design of pneumatic / hydraulic circuits.

·         Familiar with ASME/EN / ANSI / BS/ API / IBR Standards Codes.

·         Must have working knowledge of Solid works & AutoCAD.

·         Must have experience in bill of materials and part number creation in ERP.

·         Working knowledge on MS Office.

·         Good knowledge on Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Metallurgy, Materials, Stress analysis (by hand calculation) and Machine Design.

·         Must have good writing skills to prepare design documents and manuals.

·         Must be willing to travel anywhere globally.

·         Familiar with ISO 9001 requirements.

·         Must possess good writing and communication skills - English.

·         Self-driven, assertive, entrepreneurial mindset and resourceful.
